I have 550 and 140. I don't know where else to apply. Gulfstream hasn't called me back, so I'm flying skydivers. It's the slow season so I'm only logging about 8-15 hours a week. Anyone have an idea?

Do you think its still not safe to put in an application at gojet? I got furloughed from american eagle and I cant find another job that will take pilots 600/100

Yea I have instructor certs. CFI, CFII, MEI. I have deffinitly put in word at local flight schools, all slots are full. Winter is a very slow time for flight training in Michigan.

I've tried with a few airlines and I more than meet the 135 mins . . . I have buddy's with squeaky clean records that cant get call backs from the regionals and some of them have a few thousand hours . . . is there something we are missing here?!?!? (greanted I have a incident on my record) Yeah, nobody out there is disperate for pilots yet . . . now with Eagle about to layoff a ton of guys, low time guys are going to have it hard to break into the regionals I think.
What is the possibility of getting CLE and what are callout times? Thks
6 out of 7 in my class got CLE based. I suspect that's not the norm though. I've been told that it's usually about 50/50 between CLE and EWR for new hires. It all depends on seniority though. For my class we determined seniority by picking numbers out of a hat but all future classes will determined by age per the contract.
5 out of 7 guys in my class got some sort of composite line right out of training, but that's not the norm either.

Thanks! 2hr call out on reserve? or hot at the airport?

Plenty of CFI jobs down here in Phoenix, Tranpac, Lufthansa, and I believe we are hiring as well. Not to sound harsh, but welcome to the industry. Back when I had 600/100 (WAAAAY back in 2005), you couldn't get a call from anyone. Period. You either instructed, flew skydivers or towed banners for about another 400 hours, and you might get a call from a regional....if you wanted to go that route. I knew plenty of guys that just hung in for the extra 200 hours and went the freight route once they hit 135 mins. This whole thing about guys getting on with regionals with 600 hours is a recent event and by no means has been the norm. I think we're shifting back in that direction on the supply/demand chain for a bit. If no one is giving you a call at 600/100 hours, odds are there are other guys out there more qualified. It's time to alter the plan, get the instructor certs, find a skydiving job, find a banner towing job or maybe some survey work.
Just got the call for an interview today for the end of the month. I really hope it works out this time.
