Pinnacle Airlines Corp. to Take Steps to Improve Liquidity and Profitability

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Pinnacle-Airlines-Corp-Take-prnews-2443335052.html?x=0

Planned initiatives include
  1. seeking modifications to the company's agreements with its mainline airline partners,
  2. equipment lessors,
  3. debt holders,
  4. real property lessors and vendors.
  5. The company will also seek to work with its pilots
  6. and other employees (both union and non-union) to reduce labor costs.
**As part of its efforts, the company will examine and further rationalize its business lines, organizational structure and executive and director level functions.

1. Do our best to get rid of any Delta flying if anyone will take us.
2. Screw you Bombardier! We ain't paying our bills!
3. We are going to out gansta the banksta's (or at least try... remember we are inept)
4. Sorry Downtown Memphis, we are going to Eagan. It was a stupid move and we are sorry but we can't afford Phil's stupidity in putting our operations base in Memphis. Well we can if you pay us to stay?
5. And the pilots are going to laugh at them. Let's break this down
  • Mesaba: Except for XJ FO's getting a pay raise on the 50-76 jets, we have the same contract you agreed to take us on at. We took nearly nothing, and are playing along with sunshine and rainbows because we got scope
  • Pinnacle: finally got through their negotiations, they aren't going backwards, especially as backwards as it was before they got our contract.
  • Colgan: See what Mesaba tells them to think.
6. Well... CAN we screw the FA's anymore than we have? Probably, they have the stupid flight attendant division of the Steel Workers Union. The Pinnacle rampers at Memphis are down to 7.5-10 hour schedules a week, giving them five airplanes per group of 5 (as long as no one calls in sick) and the fat moron who ran the place is now going to be a dispatcher so maybe we can take away the old Lenny's budget we gave him and put that into the operations.

**Common boys and girls, work all the over time you can and MAYBE we can get these hard working managers a bonus... a RECORD SETTING BONUS!

**I know Mesaba's management has been halved into running Pinnacle and Colgan/Mesaba so MAYBE we just kill off everyone at Pinnacle... and I don't mean fire them... I mean tell them to leave the office and never come back or the next office party will be held on West Crump at 11:30pm.

Good bye all Saabs and maybe 40 200's that's my prediction! Asa has 100 200's, we have 142

That -200 number sounds about right from what I've heard speculation on. How much longer can companies park airplanes like the Saab when they make money every leg?

cmon skywest was rocking that before it was cool.

Why would parking 40 crj50s be a good think for pncl? Wouldnt the loss of revenue be worse?

We can't fly what we have now, parking will happen slow enough I imagine. I don't think it would be, by itself, good. Consider though, the -900's and Q's have a lot more operating margin, if we removed the -200's from the picture our total margin would go up. This is of course assuming all things being equal.

If fedex and jetblue and virgin start hiring next month we'll need to get rid of 40 something planes because of the people leaving.

So being 200 from the bottom, I am thinking I need to update my resume... Thoughts? This does not look fun! Right when I thought I would be based at home!

No telling what's going to happen man. This could all blow over.

Plus, lets be realistic, except for 200 Mesaba people and 150 Pinnacle pilots and maybe 15 Colgan guys, no one is looking to stick around long term. Always have an updated resume though, home is MSP?

Tabernacle?

Well MSP is the home town and your JR base! Ill send ya a PM later tonight.

Just a heads up tho, most the n00bs hired are going to the bro out of fresno. Fesno is probably the worst city in the world, well I think kabul might be just slightly worse. Just thought you should know so you dont get a shock. The bro is fun and so are the crews.

Bros before.......well, you know.

Yes...

But, I'd seriously start thinking about what happens if this career doesn't start panning out for you (on a personal level) within the next 3 years.

Don't get stuck in this unstable environment and watch the next 25+ years of your pass you by.

Have a plan C or D folks.

Thankfully I have a degree in something besides aviation :)

Jynxy yes MSP is home
