Kalitta 727 FO

Bump....

How awesome would this gig be! I think I would literally fly for peanuts for a chance at the 727.

Well.... maybe pistachios. :laff:

But I can understand that I'm a sick person. Most of my friends had posters of girls or maybe their favorite sports stars on their walls as kids. (plug for dan marino) I on the other hand had a few posters of the 72 and other assorted models hanging from the ceiling.

Yeah.. I was a real winner. :insane:

thank you very much for your continued efforts in paying it forward to me, and to our entire community. You are a class act sir.

you are most welcome and thank you!

I had the models, aircraft posters, and one Budweiser Girls poster and didn't understand why the local airshow wasn't a good place for a date.

It is, my wife and I plan for the airshow every year. That's why when there wasn't one this year we got bummed. Being around an USAF base during the centennial of Naval Aviation sucked.

Is the schedule for the 727 two weeks on, two weeks off? I'm assuming you can live where you want and then they put you in the crew apartment or the hotel when you have your two weeks on? The Lear and Falcon guys must live in base though right or are they also two weeks on/off?

The 727 crews work 16 on and 12 off. The company provides housing in base (Condo or Hotel). You can live where ever you want and you can jumpseat just like any other airline pilot to your base.

The Lear and Falcon pilots are not part of Kalitta Charters II and work on a different schedule, pay scale, etc. I believe they must live in base and close to the airport.

Any new updates with Kalitta Charters? Have they filled the 727 FO positions already or is that still in the process?

DC-9 class is already in session.

727 Class will be late Jan / Early Feb. They are currenly interviewing and calling from from resume's already received. Previous 727 experience helpful.

Are you flying for them? They must have received lots of resume for the F/O position. From the looks of it, they would probably look at guys with jet experience and higher time. Thanks for the update.

Got an email from them today. Not sure what to think yet. Sounds like it could be a really cool gig but not sure what it leads to. Anyone know where people intend to go on to? Been thinking about pursuing Avantair really hard if that gives you an idea of where my priorities are. I love freight and all but the fractional world doesn't seem to think to highly of freight drivers. Could be wrong. All I know is I don't want to go to a regional.

Know if they're still accepting resumes for that 727 class?
