United 93 - Accident Investigation

So being that I now live and work in Saudi Arabia, the subject of 9/11 pops into my head every once in a while, and the events that happened after it. I was randomly googling a few things in my off time one day, and so I decided to read the NTSB accident investigation of United 93, and weird, there is none.

http://www.ntsb.gov/investigations/reports_aviation.html

Does anyone know why this is? The organization whose sole duty to investigate crashes has no crash report on one of the most infamous crashes in history. There's just a big gap between 8/10/2001 and 11/12/2001. Wondered if anyone might be able to help me out.

It was a FBI Investigation instead.

Correct. NTSB investigates accidents. The minute an accident has a connection to a crime or terrorist act, the FBI takes over. The NTSB then becomes an assisting agency.

And classifies the information from the public right?

Ha, you wrote public and right next to each other in the same sentence!

Chances are we'll never see the final report (or if we do, it will be a few decades from now). I'm sure it's way more detailed than an NTSB report.

Here's the deal, living overseas in Korea and now Saudi Arabia has made believe the U.S. gov't and the media less and less, because I see how much bs they spew and how spin they put on everything that is reported, and there's so many factors surrounding United 93 that so few people question the logic of.

There is no NTSB report on any of the 9/11 aircraft. The last official criminal act where the NTSB did process a brief report, even though they weren't the lead agency, was PSA 1771 in 1987.

I can't believe I'm reading a thread like this almost ten years to the day after this happened. What would one expect from an NTSB report? Two maniacs got in the cockpit, and when the pax decided to take them to task, it didn't take much to turn a 757 into a missile headed into the ground?

What kind of NTSB report do you want?

Then again, we have idiots who think the WTC was taken down by "controlled demolition".

So sad to see this thread here. This should be locked if not removed.

Hold your horses there Hoss. There are those who are unaware of what the NTSBs scope is when it comes to aircraft accidents/incidents when a crime is involved. Thats a good takeaway from this thread.

Speaking of which, you've lived in Korea. Had you ever visited the Middle East? I've been to parties at the U.S. consulate before and it's like I'm not even in SA anymore. The marines were bartending the last one I went to.

Yup. Most all of the middle east. As well as Korea. Remember too, the consulate is considered US territory. Just as foreign consulates in the US are considered an extension of that country's home.

If that's the case, then technically they could open at strip club at the consulate too.

Yeah, six schmucks couldn't keep Abu Ghraib a secret, but hundreds if not thousands of people over two administrations from two very different political parties are covering up a mass murder. Makes perfect sense to me. Yeah, and we brought down an airliner full of innocent people... because...

Nicely Done.. Why can't I be this articulate and this concise at the same time?

I take it you've never been outside the US never or for a very short period of time?

I have no doubt that we in the USA have a biased view of our place in the world.

That said, if a person believes the "9/11 was a government conspircy" lunacy, then I seriously question that person's intelligence and judgement (the "fake moon landing" crowd is in the same boat).
