If you want to get violated...feel free to apply!!!!

I wonder if I can reapply and do better the second time I will call Discovery and see if we can get it on flying wild pacific:crazy::insane:

How is Pacific Wings doing these days? I am guessing between the bad word of mouth, and the hiring going on, they must be hurting!

Before knowing all there is to know about PW's reputation, I applied for a position there. I probably wouldn't have considered an FO position but I was up for a VFR 135 captain position so I thought "flying caravans in Hawaii, how could life get better?". I flew to ABQ for the interview on my own dime, did great on all the HR and scenario questions, got "over a 90" on the written and I haven't heard back from them since. If an applicant spends 800 dollars and two days traveling for an interview the least the company can do is have the courtesy to reply to an email or phone inquiry requesting an update on the application status. That's just basic decency. The CP, David, was friendly and easy to talk to. I can't comment on company morale or the vibe around the place because he's the only one I met at PW.

well I never met Dave but I can picture him having a belt with a slew of knives and blood all over from all the people he stabs in the back and keeps looking like a nice church going guy.

I can't belive these guys are still operating. I interviewed in 2008. I also thought "how could life get any better?" flying caravans in Hawaii. In fact, that is where my interview was. Took a redeye down and a redeye back and spent money on a cheap motel for the priviledge of taking a 50 question IFR test, interviewing with the HR lady for 30 min, and afterward waiting, sweating in the heat of their outdoor ticketing area, almost 4 hours for the owner to show up for a 15 min. interview. At least the ticket/ramp gal and FO's were willing to chat, since they weren't doing much of anything else. There was no phone call afterwards of e-mail, nothing.

In hindsight, I am REALLY glad they didn't call me up, as at the time I wasn't thinking clearly, since I just wanted out of the place I was at. Had I taken the job, knowing what I know about them now, I would have wanted to quit after a month.

PW management knows how far candidates are going out of their way and how much they're spending to attend this interview, It's the lack of even a simple reply that was so disappointing.

I applied, but what I read in the reply back, I was thinking "eff this, it's BS!" Glad I saw this, because I was having second doubts.
