If you want to get violated...feel free to apply!!!!

What's this companys problem? They offered me a job a few years ago - I decided not to take it -- looks like I made the right decision.

Just do a search.

Just for starters. They have been known to paint the leading edge of their wings black so it looks like they have boots and then flying them in ice. A search will show much much more.

I was in BNA this weekend at noticed one of their Vans came in and it didn't look like it had boots. Was pretty surrprised since there were a lot of PIREPS for ice. Then it made sense when i figured out it was one of PW's

I interviewed at this place a while back. I had to keep myself from laughing out loud when the 40 year old CP, father of two, said he enjoyed flying a C208 and being a CP for PW. I'm sure they get plenty of pilots, when I interviewed everyone they invited showed up.

Having worked there, Id say your chances are 50/50 of getting away unscathed if employed. By unscathed i mean quiting on your own terms without being terminated for no reason, without being violated, without having a 135 check ride failure for un-just reasons on your record or without owing them thousands of dollars for whatever they decide to try to collect from you. Ive seen all 4 in my time there. Not very good odds.

Also from what I hear they have lost or dissolved just about all their EAS contracts in the southeast, so for all the low time guys looking to get in get a bunch of turbine time and get out (which was all they were good for) those days are over. just stay away

I have seen this first hand. It is not an exaggeration. I climbed up to touch the wing because I literally could not believe it, I thought I must be seeing things. I also know two guys personally who have flown for them...they were both in the lucky 50%, but confirm every bad thing you've heard. Run don't walk.

Resume sent .... NOT

I have never heard of such stuff before. How come the FAA has not made them history already???

Out of my element on this one, but that's never prevented me from speaking before. As I understand it, this particular cancer was born in Hawaii, but soon spread to the lower 48. They're also "Air New Mexico", "Georgia Skies", "Tennessee Skies", and (sadly for a native of the Commonwealth) "Kentucky Skies". Many-headed hydra. One company, many evil snake-heads.

I've only seen the New Mexico Air side of their operation but I wouldn't wish them on anyone. We seem to be a refuge for their guys from New Mexico Air. The last guy we took was outside his training contract and they still tried to keep half his last paycheck for "expenses". They are shady and have the highest turnover of pilots I have ever seen. The pilots seem like good guys but they start getting hosed from day one. I've run into their guys in Alamagordo and Hobbs, sleeping on couches in the FBO on stand up overnights, if stand ups are the ones where you're technically on duty all night. My definition may be wrong on that one.

I thought they didn't do any overnights period...Still, they are shady as hell.

It's not an "overnight" if you are off duty at 13:59 when you get back to your "base" and have to be up in 10:00 hours to do it all again. Again, run don't walk.

Wow, this place sounds like it's run by kids without rules..... painting De-ice boots on the wings??? If this is true why doesn't the FAA shut them down? That's pretty
crooked. I'll give it a stab.....

Officer: Do you know why I pulled you over?

Driver: No?

Officer: Your license plate is painted onto your bumper!

Driver: What's wrong with that?

Officer: Please step out of the vehicle.

Seriously..... Whats this places MO.... Get em low time and fresh and ruin their career...... WOW.... I can't believe they are still in business. Have they had any accidents or incidents???

Everyone is Right!!!! and yes, RUN dont WALK!!!!!! they are looking for street Captains right now, they are only left with one Capt. in GA... They dont care about you and anything you have to say. If you are sick, they will tell you to get a Docs notice if you call in, if you ask for a day off, good luck trying to get it..the gate agents are pretty much in charge of the pilots (because the CP only works from NM), which I think outrageous....The gate agents are allowed to come in late, miss work, and do whatever they want and get away with it, if a pilot does that you will be put on probation for 3 months and/or a week no pay..

You work 14 hrs per day and only fly 4hrs, the rest of the time you are just waiting at the Airport, this is every freaking day..... I came here with a positive attitude, but I was wrong, I am looking to get out ASAP.. Airlines are hiring right now, so there is not reason to get into this place if you are planning to... this place is going down the toilet soon... this is a place that took advantage of the downfall of the airline industry to get ahead, now with the airline industry hiring like crazy this place is going to disappear....

So their call sign is Tsunami, but why is it that their flight numbers (on FlightAware) show up as Air Nevada? ANV295, ANV720 etc.

Aloha!

From what I know, PW's code should either be "LW or PW" and on FlightAware.com it should come up as "NMI" short for tsuNaMI.

PW's island ops are based out of OGG and are well disliked...to the point of even having the State of Hawaii and Wackenhut after their rears for doing lots of illegal activity at the CAT (Commuter Air Terminal). They also ran Island Air out of that area only because they "needed more room" to park their C208's along side WP's DH8's.
