US Airways Sues Pilots

Where are they in talks with the contracts? I almost wonder as much as Airways hates it's pilots and the same back, if they both don't just want to watch the whole thing burn.

I'm rather curious when they do hire again, how many people will jump at the chance to get into this mess.

The amount of people at 9L that have said they threw their resume in, has been pretty shocking.

They've been hiring pretty steadily for the last 6 months. They don't seem to have any problem filling the classes.

That sounds like a fun place to work.

I wonder if they give you the option to work for either the west or east since they are on different pay scales. :laff:

The reality is that worst major is still better than the best regional.

lol

And this is a stretch for me...but I'll gladly work at SkyWest without an NMB recognized Union than go to US Airways and deal with a dysfunctional mess...

Further, just like the supposed CAL "sick-out," no pilot group would be dumb enough to do any sort of thing considering the HUGE NEGATIVE consequences when viewed by the court during contract negotiations. Just not worth it guys. It's not worth the HUGE loss of negotiating position to do any sort of illegal job action.

It will all work itself out eventually. Most easties are over 60 anyway, once they are all gone it will work itself out.

They all work for the same company. Sounds like buying into the USAPA hype.

So that's going to make them dump oodles of money on the pilots lap? Read what Surreal said.

Yeah...not withstanding the whole "East couldn't have survived without the West couldn't have survived without the East" deal that caused the merger in the first place...When I worked the ramp in PHX for Airways, the Easties were the biggest bunch of whining children...it amazed me grown men could act like that in a professional environment.
