But, Miked, Jesus was Jewish.
Sorry. Couldn't resist.
Yes, and thats the sarcasm inherent in my statement and the smileys afterwards. Was being lighthearted in my wondering why anyone would even care what religion someone is or isnt.

but I am more concerned about having to evac a burning airframe behind one of these idiots who have to use one free hand to hang onto their pants while waddling like Morticia Addams toward to emergency exit.
Pants on the ground, pants on the ground.... looking like a FOOO wit'yo pants on the ground..![]()
Am I the only one who sees this as a safety issue? This isn't as simple as wearing a t-shirt with a slogan that may be offensive to some - it's a matter of wearing an article of clothing in a manner completely counter to it's design and which interferes with the normal bipedal functionality of a human being. Yeah I think it looks absolutely ridiculous, but I am more concerned about having to evac a burning airframe behind one of these idiots who have to use one free hand to hang onto their pants while waddling like Morticia Addams toward to emergency exit.
Video from the incident.
This captain very likely made a huge mistake.

Lord I hope so. The guy is NCAA division 1 defensive back. I am sure all that running around in the secondary wouldn't slow his exit from the plane. Heck who knows he might even help out one of those folks who we call for wheelchairs on the in range message.Am I the only one who sees this as a safety issue?
I would say he probably did something MUCH worse before the video started. It's like the kids in school when they KNOW they were bad and are going to be punished saying, "I love you, teacher". They think they can get out of it by sounding nice now. The deed has already been done. If you don't want to stand on the fence, don't hit people. Saying nice things isn't going to get you off. Same as not listening BEFORE the police show up doesn't mean being nice WHEN they show up will get you off.Exactly, and the captain still booted him.
Not a good move to kick somebody off that refers to you as "sir" when you claim they're being disruptive.
And once you make up your mind on a consequence, you stick with it. No matter how "nice" they appear afterward. He may get worse if he thinks he got away with it while in flight. If I were a betting man I'd guess that the Captain was standing behind his crew and, like amjon said, the outcome may have been determined well before this video was shot. Sometimes people do things that have consequences.
Just shooting in the dark...
