You caught me! I was making it up. Silly me.

Key word: "Buddies".

Just not some aviation webmaster who works for an airline that has a hub city in SLC.

Start the clock. I confidently predict that in a year or so we'll have a flood of ex-CFIs complaining about being on reserve, no ugrade in sight, and the fact that NO ONE TOLD THEM it would be like this! :D

Heh. We've had one of those at my cargo company. He decided to quit because "This is not what flying is supposed to be." Apparently flying /U or /A airplanes out of ADS in the middle of the night was not what daddy told him he would be doing as a pilot. The part in quotes is exactly what he told our CP when he quit. An OOTSK he was not.

That quote has made it around most of the ABQ and ADS based cargo companies now. Maybe we should make it our company mantra. What say you Boris?

The place was packed. Standing room only. Pretty diverse mix judging from the people I spoke to--from all over the place, too; one dude traveled from Miami to be there.

Their VP of Flight Ops said they currently plan to hire continually from now through the first quarter of 2012, and likely beyond. They've hired something like 230 so far this year, another 2 classes of 20 start later this month. He actually used the phrase "pilot shortage" to describe the next few years.

Saw the hottest chick pilot I've EVER seen in one of the newhire classes currently in progress, she was simply stunning.

And best of all, they closed the dog-and-pony show with Cheechako's CRJ video.

Are you still in SLC man? Didn't know you were gonna be there or I would've made it a point to find you and say hello.

Aw bummer dude! Hopefully I will be back up there soon to finish that interview, if you're free I'm always down to grab some food or a drink. I'll send you a PM when I hear something from them.

Did this person say what the 2 classes are for? 1 class 20 new hires for the EMB-120 and 1 class 20 new hires for the CRJ?

I'm on the May 30th class.

Glad you guys went there, hopefully it was both informative and fun. Keeping my finger xed for you to get to finish your interview.

Cheers,

~sk

I don't know how big those two class are going to be. I was told they don't like either class to be bigger than 30. So that would be a total of 60 on 30 May.
