That being said, those shoes still don't belong anywhere near a professional pilot's uniform even if you think they're not stylish enough for nightlife.

Well guys it is my scene still and I can assure you that I would not even think about wearing those to the club! I don't know which is worse. We have a guy who wears patent leather shoes to work. It is quite a sight!

Are you freaking kidding me? We aren't exactly wearing Dress Uniforms. Is this the a jumpseating problem child too?
 
You know what your next question should be since you are working for an airline. What underwear should I wear. LOL. A lot of threads about what to buy.

To me all of your clothing questions are very simple. What can you afford? You don't need Bose to fly an airliner and you don't need expensive luggage. Guess if I work for an airline I'll be the cheap ass.

nothing wrong with being fiscally responsible. Just don't overboard with it and screw the van driver everytime. it is amazing how far a buck or two will get you once you get to know the drivers personally. I tip about 99% of the time and some of the place we go on a regular basis we get super fast service and van rides to anywhere we want to go....

This. I've been rocking J&M shoes for a few years now and they NEVER set off the alarms and are comfy and look sharp. I just wear them until I need a new pair and buy them at the airport when I'm on a long sit. Works for me :)

I've been wearing these for about 3 years because I forgot my regular shoes one day and didn't realize it until i was almost to the airport. I ran into a nearby Sears real quick and got these since it was the only thing they had in a 12. I like them pretty well and they don't set off metal detectors. Plus they're cheap. I thought they looked okay as long as I kept them shined but recently someone at work randomly told me they were going to "piss in my loafers". Maybe there are some anti-loafites out there.
 
Loafers have always had a stigma in some circles as too casual. But I don't see anything wrong with the pic of the Sears loafer at all, I would wear them with a dress suit.

Having a Korean wife with a no shoes in the house rule, along with all the friends we visit, I wear nothing but easy on and off shoes, lol.

Second these, most comfortable non-tennis shoes of any kind I've owned. I noticed they also have a branded store in CLT too.
