Talk about an easy jet to fly. Hopefully I'll get to fly it again on Sunday.

I still dont see the point of purchasing that aircraft. Perhaps someone can enlighten me.

It's cheaper to operate than most other jets (though quite slow comparatively speaking), it's extremely easy to operate single pilot...almost stupid proof. And I'm sure most owner pilots find 2.6 million a lot easier to swallow than 20 million.

I think the issue is this vs. something like a King Air.

Some owners probably like the idea of being able to say they have a "private JET". How yaw doin and welcome to my JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJeeeett

They do look pretty fun to fly. We have one based at my airport and I know the guy who flies it pretty well. I got to tour the cockpit/cabin and it was pretty impressive, definitely liked the G1000 suite.

with 4 passengers and full fuel the range is about 600 miles with reserves. it's not very big, but it does have ramp appeal

Just did a trip to NY and back - we were seeing fuel burn in the 600 - 620 range at .59m and FL360. At one point we went up to 370 (ATC) and it dropped to about 590 but that was the lowest I saw.

Mach .59? Controllers must hate these things at those altitudes.

I was gonna say something when I read that but I didn't want the answer to be: Well how fast is your 172 buddy?

What is the point of a .59m jet? Wouldn't a turboprop be more efficient and/or cheaper and longer range?

maybe not
