Pacers actually a pretty nice airplane though. I am not sure about floats, and I'm sure that was doggy - but a Pacer on wheels is a superior value to a 170/172 and many other airplanes out there. Particularly on with a 150hp motor. I like Pacers.

Pacer on wheels probably wouldn't be too bad, I flew the 150HP motor, and even light on fuel, with only my fat-ass and my mini-instructor (she weighed maybe 100lbs soaking wet with a parka) it didn't climb for . Worse than a fully loaded 207 on a hot day.

Yeah your better off just getting your private... and if you can't get your medical your better off just flying with your buddy thats a pilot.

Recreational pilot. Same training, more usable than light sport.

Light Sport was supposed to bring $30,000 airplanes to market, but we all know that would never really happen. Actually the availability of cheaper more modern airplanes is one of the good things about light sport, along with getting more people into aviation.
