Past pilot forums and members

.com or .net? The former was Neil's baby and he loved to boast he beat the other to the .com domain. I've met Neil and I am so not impressed.

Even with that aside, I much preferred .net.

I can see how one would think that. Mike is the "don't piss on my shoes and tell me it's raining" type of guy. I chalked it up a low tolerance for ineptitude. I recall him being as gentle as a kitten with some student pilots. I once met Mike at an airport. I just "knew" it was him so I introduced myself. We talked about an hour. Incredible man.

I'm a member on PPW, APC, FI, and here, and they all have their uses, mainly for doing searches. Been doing a lot of that lately.

Apparently there was some guy named "NightIP" on APC that thought flying a 402 was going to be hard......
 
Was TAF an e-mail based forum? I specifically remember a married couple down in TX who had his n hers Luscombs. I cannot remember the name of that forum.

I didn't think it was a lot till I saw them written out. But you're right, you can find virtually anything you're looking for on at least one of the sites.

Avbug, like Velo here is typically described as a real nice guy in real life despite his abrasive personality online.

I've never agreed with that sentiment, if you're a prick here, then you are one in the real world as well. Some of these guys take it to the point that I would not hire them or not take a job where I had to work with them. Avbug is obviously VERY smart and experianced, but his attitude is not one I would ever want to have to work with.
 
APC has that crazy long thread for Delta. And its only a few years old. The "MY regional VS YOUR regional" threads are funny.
