Why is The Company so sensitive about it? Either man up and pay a fair wage, or man up and admit that your pay sucks. It's not like she was blabbing corporate seekrits or doing some whistleblowing to the federales.

Show me somewhere/anywhere that the majority of the people working in that occupation isn't complaining about not being compensated fairly?

Best flight attendent I ever worked with this month just resigned. She has a MA, and worked a long time at Emirates and took a job at a regional 'cause she married a sailor and came back with him. She is the hardest worker, best crewmate possible, but really doesn't like being treated like a child by inflight, crew sked all for peanuts. She has been fed up for a long time. A lot of people in this field have a passion for the industry, and work a lot harder than they are paid.

Well in this industry there are a lot of unhappy folks who work very hard. Sully himself says he wouldn't want his kids to enter into it.:dunno:

Not saying you are wrong, but I would say the conditions in this one may be an aberration for your generalization.:)

Best of luck to you. By 2013 experienced pilots will be in higher demand. I don't know much about the contract flying part of the industry, but if your competition leaves for 121 work, rates will go up. It's too bad you had to leave the Merlin. Garretts are pretty cool engines.

Also, it's a bit harsh to say it would be cool for a laid off pilot to become a laid off truck driver. I was actually proud of myself for working instead of collecting unemployment.
