...and they're looking to hire 64 pilots in the next two months. Think some of you guys could help? :)

they just had two rounds of interviews and are letting people from the 21st/22nd interviews know today when their class date is.

I interviewed this past Thursday 8/12 and they wanted me to start class in a week and a half for the Q400. Told them it was too early so they have me in the Saab class for the following week, which is perfect because that is the airplane I wanted anyway. But now I have to see how my Eagle interview goes coming up.

They've had everyone in my class waiting forever to hear and they just let me know today that I will start training on the 7th in the Saab. Pay should go up decently too with the Mesaba merger.

I would go..... If the pay was respectable..

Yeah, I hear ya... I was offered a class in April, but after contemplating it for awhile, I just couldn't do it. Way too little pay. Looking back, it was a very good decision, as things have since improved immensely at my current job and I would probably be pretty worried about all this merger stuff going on if I was a newbie at Colgan. It was a good interview experience though!

For those without work for awhile, I can understand it though. You gotta do what you gotta do...

If I do end up at Colgan I'll see you in class. So glad I was able to get them to put me in the saab class considering I was the highest time guy at the interview and they said they want me in the Q400. Maybe I'll be able to get down to IAH quickly.

What are your times if you dont mind me asking? Im just curious as to what is competitive right now.

I finally got my interview scheduled for the 25-26th. It'd be nice to go to Houston for a change, but I think the Q400 would be pretty ballin too. I guess I should focus on getting passed the interview first!

Houston is the most senior base so its next to near impossible for a near hire to get it according to the captains at my interview. Everyone is getting EWR in the Q or IAD in the Saab. High time guys get the Q and low time guys get the Saab. This is mainly because it takes less time to upgrade in the Saab then it does in the Q.

Understood. I just moved from IAD area back home to BNA. It'll be like my 'old stomping grounds" if I get IAD.

I'm probably going to be talking to them in the morning so if you guys have any serious questions, let me know.

I'm in the process of convincing them that they need to be at our event in Las Vegas.

See what their new callsign is going to be, news on the pilot contract for pay rates, how they are dispersing their new hires, etc. Unless those questions are too silly to ask, then don't worry about it.
