I do believe breaking up the numbers and saying "Sioux Two Zero" instead of "Sioux Twenty" applies only to the Grand Forks area correct?

I've also attached a little memento for those of you who have left Grand Forks so you can remember the views you are missing! Can anyone guess what it is? lol :)

A SP&P violation? :D

Ugh, I can smell it from here!

Especially with our international students where English isn't the best thing they have going for them, breaking it up like we say runways cuts back on double radio calls.
I made fun of these students before, over at Park Rapids (KPKD).

These Chinese students lumped the words together and I was forced to hurl mandarin back in the comms.

Sioux, or Flickernail now that the name is being changed :bandit:

Hey, it would be funny if it happened the Bulldogs need another rodent to beat on in the WCHA  ;)

Guess since BSU is joining they are sort of a rodent :D

Flickernail!??? Is that really going to be the new mascot??? What a joke... no money for the school from me then... I am sioux through and through....

Who knows, thats what it used to be so I am just making a satire of it. It does seem pretty definite that it will no longer be the Sioux anymore. Hope they do not allow them back in the REA :bandit: They can play at the Lake Agassiz Elementary school rink :D Terrible sheet of ice there last year BTW

You have something to say about everything don't you? How is a natural outdoor city-maintained ice sheet supposed to be? Is it like skating on butter where you're from? Just be glad its there at all and honestly, I thought winters were going to be boring and cold when I got here but after spending countless evenings at Agassiz, UP, Manvel, and assorted other rinks around town I have to say that winters here aren't really that bad at all (if you skate fast enough you don't notice the cold).

Pond hockey is one of about 3 things that make GF winters tolerable. The other two are intramural hockey and beer.

No you got me all wrong guy, the Biolife one was way better :bandit:

They ran out of slots for Intramural teams that were not top tier last winter  I agree though, playing some puck and drinking some beers helps it
