Well just got news that my class was suspended indefinitely, and 13 will be laid off. I was really looking forward to that job. I guess it's back to the job hunt?:dunno: Got to love this industry.

that sucks man. sorry to hear. anyone saying "oh man! its turned around! things are great" (cough, kit darby, cough) can go to hell.
 
Just heard the same from a friend who was slated for a class this summer. I was getting ready to send them an app as well....:mad:

Sorry to hear it. Whats plan B? In this industry you need C,D and E as well.
 
Flying is down 10%. With the "who knows whats going on with LMI," Its not looking good from what I have been told.

I have heard that we are slowing down our hiring, but letting people go? thats news to me..
 
That sucks, hardly not understandable though. I doubt there's been a sudden increase in revenue on their part with the economy though.
 
Weak...I was really hoping to go through the hassle of the interview only to be blacklisted. Oh Well...always XJT.

On a serious side note: Sucks for all those w/ a canceled class. Hopefully there won't be to many layoffs.
 
I just talked to my friend at AMF, and he doesn't know anything about this.

Is it true that AMF has NEVER furloughed/laid off in the company's history?

I applied but got the run around for months until last week when Sheri told me they are no longer hiring and moving classes back. Looks like those 13 will be pit back in the pool of new hires.
