Keep it Professional....

You see, it's all fun and games to me until the colorful name calling begins. I draw the line there. Say what you want about my airline. I've heard it all before. It's so cliche at this point and like others said, just down right funny at times.

When you start calling me or any of my coworkers names by generalizing, however, you're entering a whole new arena. Unfortunately, a lot of credibility is lost when one starts defending their playful antics by claiming to know better because they are wise and not subject to "SJS" and desperation to fly a "big jet" (conveniently "backed-up" by the history of their company). Fact is, you can't define an entire group of people based on these things and then separate them from everyone else in aviation, because people like that are everywhere. No more at my airline then yours or anybody else's.

So, play away, my friends. Tell each other that the only person dumb enough to fly for their company is your starry-eyed 9yo sister. But please dispense with the passive-aggressive comments. It's kinda rude and really, we're all here to share anyway and I don't wanna share if it's gonna be lame insults!

Again, you Republic guys need to CTFO. The entire world is not out to get you.

For the record, I couldn't care less if people get their feelings hurt because I said they were idiots. What would you call someone who is willing to go down in QOL just to fly a bigger airplane? And by QOL I mean contractual language. To say you can fly a CRJ-200 for equal or more than you can a 170/175? What would you call someone like that?

Deluded? Blinded by their ego, perhaps? Maybe their logic is flawed, maybe it isn't. Perhaps yours is. Right or wrong, I think your ego may be misleading you in your approach to this. That's a bitter pill to swallow, so I wouldn't fault you if you found it difficult. I know I sure did. For years.

In the meantime, there might be a more constructive way to proffer your point of view.

I might suggest this thread:

Good luck with this one, man. Take it from somebody who knows- speaking to people as if they are 'idiots' is a fool's errand, and you're only hurting yourself in the process. Those you're speaking to have likely already tuned you out and ignored you like some sort of leper.
