Q going to Mexico

It's usually a pleasant surprise getting to an airport in Mexico that will radar vector you for an approach. I'll play that on Microsoft Flight Sim if I want, or in the sim at work. But late at night, wx, and whatever else....I prefer "Yetlink fly heading 190 to join, cleared for the ILS22-B"

It sounds just like W VA...

Viva 'la Mexico! That section in the book about crews not eating the same thing from the same Taco Stand will be more important then ever!

"QRC for Burrito Maximo...Oxygen Masks on & 100%...

Where in Mexico you guys planning on going?

Cancun would be awesome!

Well, if it's anything like most regional overnights, it'd be no different than Richmond, VA except for the warmer weather. There's a good Mexican restaurant near the hotel in RIC. If it's anything like our Monterrey overnights, you see the airport, the hotel lobby, your bed and reverse in the morning. Don't have time for anything else.

I have a question. Will Colgan be finally undercutting Expressjet on these routes? I mean we all know that Colgan fly's 78 seat planes for 50 seat wages but they do mostly t-prop runs in them so I guess it's a wash. But now that they might do int runs replacing someone, seems like undercutting.

Let me get this straight....

"Express Jet" is pissed that Colgan will undercut some flying that Express Jet currently flies?

Is that correct?

What about United?

Express Jet guys and gals seem to be more than happy to fly the Ken and Barbie fun jet on MAINLINE routes.....

and the wheel keeps turning....................................

First off, we don't have a single 78 seat plane. And second off, we don't fly for 50 seat wages, we fly for less than that. Get your facts straight.

Yup. We are a cheaper regional airline. We fly for less money than Expressjet. We burn less fuel. We work for less per hours. No we will not quit. Yes we will continue to do it.

That is until we become more expensive than the next guy.

What the hell are you going to do about it? Probably nothing.

On a side note, we may be losing a few of our EAS routes to a cheaper regional airline after the contracts are over this summer. The cycle continues.

Ah, what a profession.

I hope the people in PKB like Cessna 402s...Just as well, because it is a complete waste of taxpayer dollars flying the SAAB in there...

Not that this justifies it, but on Saturday we took 30 people out of PKB, and there wasn't a flight canceled before ours. Very strange.....

Heh. Imagine what the people that say "Oh.....it's a LITTLE plane" when they board a Saab or RJ are gonna say about 402s.
