Q going to Mexico

I would have crapped a brick if that App said from PHX to Monterrey..Why you might ask, because one of my predictions would have actually come true! I still smell a conspiracy!

But seriously, that should be some cool new flyin for the Colgan peeps!
 
Who cares if the pay still sucks? Is there going to be some sort of increase in pay for "international flying?" I doubt it.
 
Monterray Aint nothin special...Not even in MX airspace for very long. Some DME arc departures but nothing to exciting.

If anything, our new contract may have a higher per diem for international. I would highly doubt anything else.

It's usually a pleasant surprise getting to an airport in Mexico that will radar vector you for an approach. I'll play that on Microsoft Flight Sim if I want, or in the sim at work. But late at night, wx, and whatever else....I prefer "Yetlink fly heading 190 to join, cleared for the ILS22-B"

Yes it is challenging for sure at some airports at MX, but you get used to it....fly direct to the vor, plan your own descend, and look out for the mountains around etc...
So, don't worry Colgan guys you'll get to a complete service (vectors, alts.) airport in MX.

As opposed to the international flying they already do to Canada? Or did Canada lose its country status... ? ;)
