Budget is $600K for the initial acquisition. Looking for something that will haul 8 people about 1000 miles. Anyone know anything about Commander 690s?

My vote is for the PC-12 as well, but sadly that is a little out of the owners price range.

I know one thing. It won't haul 8 people.

I think finding something that will meet your specs, especially in that price range, will be a tough task.

Your best bet is probably a ragged out mid 70s model King Air 200.

You may even have to step back to a 100 model and lose a seat or two.

Yah, King Air 100/200... I *think they got about ~1500 mile range.

If you got the $$ ... Piaggio P180 ;)

690's only hold 7 if you stick someone up in the co-pilot seat. Don't expect to be able to take more than an hours worth of gas with that load though. And that's IF everyone is small enough not to put it out of the CG envelope forward. Great airplane. Horribly nose heavy.

It's not turbine but there are some nice Panther Chieftans on Controller for well under your price range.

Nice Lock & Key Chieftan here.

I'd say your boss is living in a dream world. If you do happen to get something that hauls 8 pax, 1k miles for 600K it will be the highest time airframe of that type and will require mucho time in the shop. He will be paying more in the long run with MX.

I am beginning to think that as well. Thanks for the input so far guys. It is looking like a 1970s King Air 100 is the best contender so far.
