Mid range Twin Turboprop

Here. Not turbine, but well under $600k I would imagine. While you are trading the turbine aspect, it has 20 more seats than you called for...so its all good. Plus, this is masculine.

Couldn't find any turbine models.

I didn't see a price for that one, but I don't think it would be under 600K. That one has my vote!

I doubt it would be over $300k. There is a higher time one for sale, but still nice, for $185k. Operating costs and such are a little high I would think.

:yup:

Waco... you don't know where to look to find a good price on a vintage (and very nice) DC-3, do you? :D

The one you posted is currently listed for a whopping $325,000!

How about purchase two Cessna 310's and put four people in each and I'll be the other pilot? You can get a lot for $600K.

Only problem with the Merlins are that they are maintenance hogs. The two at my home airport probably have a two 2:1 ratio for Maint to flight hours. Cheap airplane, but for a reason.

Well I wouldn't consider them to be maintenance hogs, but they are 30 year airframes.:) The amount of maintenance you put into it will depend on how much you fly it.( I know that sounds sort of John Madden'ish):D

Why does it have to be a turboprop?

Do you know of any piston twins that will carry 8 people 1000 miles at around 250 TAS? I couldn't find any that wouldn't involve a huge range hit with a full load, and a lot of the nice Navajo's would have the PAX sucking on O2. Or staying low.

Damnit, I always miss the batsignal. Thanks for stepping in for me there, Quagmire. I will just say that this is basically the mission the Marquise was born for and you're a nancy if you don't get one. It'll put hair on your chest, and you'll get there in a hurry.

That's because the owner either can't afford or isn't willing to buy a T-Prop that will fit the mission.

I don't see a 900 mile plane with 8 people for $600k + $300k/year. I just don't see it happening.

I need some help here. . . from a business sense, why doesn't he simply lease something large enough for what he desires? In the initial stages of deciding what he believes he wants, he missed the mark. Seems to me I'd spend time looking at appropriate lease options vice purchase.

It must burn an ungodly amount of fuel. I'll bet the range is 650 miles.
Pretty close! This is right from the description.
