Aviation schedules

Pretty simple.

We'll need a truck, Royhipnol, some canvass, an entrenching tool and a couple bags of lime.

I'll check his IP address to see where he lives, KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT and follow directions immediately without asking questions. Make sure you're instrument current too.

Ok lets go!

oh... damn thought you were serious

:D:D:D

It's funny you mention that. Me and my co-workers have an ongoing discussion about how easy it would be to get a way with murder with this job. We fly over literally hundreds of miles of nothing, sometimes 50-100 miles from the nearest road. I say it would be pretty easy to dump a body out the plane in this desolation and if you could be gruesome enough to get the body naked and pull out the teeth, the coyotes would do the rest. The body would be going in a matter of a day or two. No body, no evidence..... Anyways, that's the theory. Better than lime?

Lots of time to think cruising over the pipeline, eh?

As a "part-time" CFI I worked more than our "full-time" employees. I was available 7 days a week, 8am-8pm, and would tailor my schedule to avoid the 8 in 24 limit. Some days I had students back-to-back-to-back etc.. and others I'd have only a few students spread out through the day. As a "full-time" employee I work 9-6, 5 days a week.

International Captain Lear 60, based in Kiev, Ukraine:

I am going from a 20/20 schedule to a 30/30 schedule. I've been home since 23 Dec and don't go back until around 3 Mar due to mx and the other Captain wanting to go back for financial reasons when the airplane comes out of mx.

When overseas, we usually go some place, sit a day or two and head back. I average about 20-30 hours of flying per month...a couple of rotations I never even flew, and others have been busy.

Some places are good. I've spent about 30-45 days total sitting in Athens, Greece, and other nice European spots the bosses like to go.

Other places are not so fun...I've spent more than my fair share of time in Tehran, Iran. It's not bad, but as an American, I am always on guard over there. I prefer to be on a beach with 1/2 naked women!!:bandit:

Forgive me for stating the obvious, but damn the regionals suck. I hope those of you in that position get to move to the next level soon.

Schedule-wise they can be fine. Lots of time off and zero jet lag with decent seniority.

Pay, retirement, and work rules is where it is not acceptable.

Keep in mind my commute is from CLT, so the last day off in each set is spent packing and riding on airplanes
