Favorite and Least Favorite Airport

Favorite is probably KTEX or KASE, because the approaches are fun. Least favorite is KIAH because I end up waiting forever while taxiing.

Fav LAX because the weather is chill and the controllers are some of the best. Least favorite is RNO, just because it sucks anytime you go into it and I am still bitter at the stress it has caused me in the past flying freight.

Favs: KROA because I like the approaches, KVPS because you never know what to expect.
Non-fav: KCLT because we have the wrong company name on the plane to get any kind of takeoff priority. It seems like everytime I'm there we have to wait until there isn't anybody on final before they let us go, including a long final.

Favorite is DFW on my last leg of any trip. :D Least favorite is ORD any time there is a rain drop or snow flake or cloud within 50 miles of the airport. The place just shuts down.

That's just CLT. :) Trust me with flying the right colors it happens the same way all of the time..... Just seems to be something with ATC down there.

As a pax I like PHL inside...disregard the runway configuration and baggage handling issues and you're all set.

JFK is the absolute worst and has put a bad taste in my mouth ever since I worked destination flights from there as a ramper. Mainly the fact that every flight that came out of that hell hole was 6 hours late.

Favorite? Frankfurt because the controllers are so cranky, it's hilarious.

"Confirm Delta 106 cleared to land?"

"NEIN! Delta VON... ZERO... ZIXXxxxx. You are not cleared to land because I heff not cleared you to land yet. If you verr cleared to land, I vould zay 'Delta von zero zix cleared to land, but I did not. In fact, Delta von zero zix, cleared to land."

Flare!

Least Favorite:
Well, Frankfurt for the same reasons.

All I do is imagine that blonde-haired French guy from The Matrix Merovingian (The Merovingian) so I just smile.

Glad to see SZP in here, of the GA airports I've flown into that one was just awesome, really stands out. HAF is really scenic when it isn't fogged in.

As far as airline stuff goes, my favorite airport to fly into is SGU. Always a fun and bumpy ride in, and the employees there really look out for you, they once held a flight to LAX for my friend and I when our cab took forever to show up and they knew we were on the way! I'll never forget that. The backdrop is pretty cool for photos too. I hope I find a reason to go back there before the new airport opens.

Least favorite would be LAX. The United terminal is a pain in the ass when you're going through security. UA has all their int'l flights leaving from the same gates as their domestic flights, so if you check in before flights to LHR, NRT, SYD, ect are about to leave, good luck. There's just 2 checkpoints for ALL those people. I usually get to the front of the line with my badge, but if you don't have an LAX SIDA or an airline badge, you're SOL. The other terminals are just as bad, the WN/US security line constantly extends waaaay down the sidewalk. Whats more annoying is having to pass a different security checkpoint to get to different airlines. Hard to have a backup when you can't really go hopping airline to airline. Not to mention almost every encounter I've had with CS agents there have been negative.

Favorites--Missoula, Kalispell, SFO, Tortola (BVI), Dominica.

Least Favorites--SLC, CVG, DTW. And definitely White Plains and Newark.

Least favorite is ORD any time there is a rain drop or snow flake or cloud within 50 miles of the airport. The place just shuts down.

It's gotten a lot better the last year or so. I haven't seen flow over 2 hrs this year, including some pretty nasty weather. Maybe I've been lucky though.
