Part of the reason I left my old job. Sure not too many people got to go to the place I was going, but do it 4 to 9 times per day, and it loses some of its coolness, especially when the leg is only about .4. Now don't get me wrong, I love short legs, but variety is the spice of life.

Ok, ok, I'll spill the beans.
They pretty much fly aliens into and out of Area 51. People will capture aliens at various places and Janet will pick them up. Also, the aliens are given R&R every year and Janet will fly them to the destination of their choice. Usually it is Vegas but this time of year they also run charters to Lincoln, NE and Norman, OK. If you watch closely during OU and NU football games you will see many of these creatures in the stands. I am not sure about how to get on as cockpit crew, but I am actively trying to get Qgar a job as an FA with Janet. She said dealing with a plane full of illiterate aliens would be preferable to her last FA job flying east-coast people out of Newark - both from an attractiveness standpoint as well as a hunch she has that the aliens would be more civil.

You are slightly incorrect though, dear. I don't like "boring" pax. It's much more of a challenge to have those "special people" to entertain me.

They send the FBI to do your background checks as far back as interviewing your elementary school teachers (if they are still alive), parish pastors/priests, teachers from your schools, former bosses, neighbors, basically everyone including the kitchen sink....all at the expense of the tax payer of course. You're looking at a timeline of approximately 10-12 months just for this alone. The whole process from start to hire is around 18 months minimum.
Should you be offered the job, you are sworn to secrecy regarding where you fly to when it comes to do with The Defense Dept. You are not allowed to take any photos, and you cannot discuss what you see / have seen with anyone. If you are caught, you are liable up to a lifetime jail sentence and fines under treason (of course this is the extreme case)

Does Janet have their own TSA agents, or are they just randomly assigned on a given day?
I can imagine a host of security problems the aliens would present. Are the reinforced cockpit doors adequate against the melting power of the laser-vision of the aliens? Do the aliens have to take off their shoes (because it is common knowledge that aliens hate to take their shoes off)? Are there sky-marshalls on these flights and if so, do they have alien-wear so they can blend? Can aliens jump-seat? If they can jumpseat, and a non-union alien gets denied by someone like Velo or ATN, does the alien usually kill and eat them or do they simply try their luck on the next flight?
