flight express??

They got some routes from OAK and HHR. They hired for a class starting this week. Don't know if they're hiring anyone beyond just that one class.

Oh really? FLX is flying out West now, too? Hmmm... What are the chances of flying out West? What are the routes?

Don't know the route...California should be full after this class. That is why they were hiring. CPS is a base...maybe. I have no idea if the people in this training class got through or not. Not this class but the one before started with 12, 4 got past the sim, and only 2 made it to the line...you do the math.

Wow that sucks...they not study the austin collins stuff? Or just not proficient in IFR flying?

39 pilots and 84 planes? Hiring Boom I would've thought...

Do you have a C-210/BE-55 Sim? Sounds odd, I'd have thought they'd take you up in the a/c but I guess a sim/PTD can sort out the good and bad eggs quicker.

Do they fly single pilot then for all a/c?

Alex.

The sim is more like a piper warrior setup last time I did it.

Yes you fly single pilot. You might get to ride with someone your first two days on the line to see some of the runs but thats where it stops.

Unless you break down. Then you get to install a second seat in the C210. Hope all goes well for those down in Orlando.

I know on their website it says IFR PIC 135 mins are required, but there is an article in the news archives from 2005 that says they hire VFR pilots with less mins...does anyone know which is correct? I know things may have changed since the article was published. Thanks.

I am pretty sure they are only looking for IFR 135 mins. When they were getting the VFR guys was when a lot of guys were getting on with the regionals with low time. Just my thoughts nothing official.

nope thats sounds bout right...maybe thought you would have said "somtimes we have a glide slope, sometimes we don't..."
