The initial checkride has to be in a complex, but I don't recall anything saying what the training has to be done in. Though it would be kind of silly to practice for the ride in a different plane than you were taking the ride in.Hey guys,
I have a quick question. Can you do your CFI training in a fixed gear or does it have to be a retractable?
Thanks for the reply!

Get it straight from the front of the CFI PTS, and teach your students to read all of the PTS, including the front part that explains all about the checkride. Be a CFI.

But I don't know how you can use that yellow plane in your avatar that's leakingsome kind of fluid, unless you can add a second seat for the examiner.:laff:
