Yeah finally caught my HR Rep (R.A.) on the phone and he said only place available is Eugene, OR. He's giving me the weekend to decide but looks like I'm either gonna wait out another year or move on. Sadly I think it's a sign of things to come later down the road with the FAA - not sure I can be tossed around or overlooked for 25 more years. Maybe I'll learn to like it...somehow. :rotfl:

Micall, was your previous HR rep R.A. too?

If you really want to change facility to get to OKC faster, it might not be a bad idea. I toured your future facility and there are a lot of trainees there already so who knows when you'll get a class date.

yeah R.A. was my rep

i suggest taking Oregon now, before it fills up. I got offered Buffalo, NY also with WV. I waited 30 mins to quickly look up that area cost of living etc. and it filled up

Ill trade you WV for Oregon

did you go to mt.sac ?

Yeah I went to Mt. Sac, and from what I've heard when getting to OKC, I might as well have been an OTS applicant with the 'knowledge' I've acquired (good thing is that it didn't cost much).

What airport in WV would you be assigned to? Honestly that might not be a bad idea.

What airport were you supposed to be heading to before the reroute?

Do they reroute Enroute types? I've been told the New Year (as in 2010, not fiscal year) at the earliest. Why do they even give us TOLs if it will take forever to get us a spot? What a cluster.

Yeah it seems that a lot of things had/have gotten overlooked. I know a lot of us are having to agree to work in places we know nothing about, but at least they are giving us something... Indiana here i come.

well i trusted the system and moved to hawaii when i thought okc was around the corner. hmm now what to do?

It just frustrates me that they can ping-pong us around and we're pressured to do anything they say just to get our grubby feet in the door. If anyone has read Nickel and Dimed, our situation is starting to really parallel that of the workers in the book. Luckily, if/when we finally get in we'll at least have a union to stick up for us if we choose it. Best of luck to everyone on here and hopefully they'll stop all the transferring soon!

We all feel really horrible for you, suffering in Hawaii, it must be horrible! J/K, I'm sure it's a bit nerve-racking being there with nothing totally set in stone. I feel your pain though, I was looking for jobs 6 months before I applied with the FAA, so I'm still working for the same company I was ready to leave 2 years ago...

i sure did. my girlfriend and i are both hospital workers so out we came. she got a job prety quickly but im still looking
