Me and one of my favorite airplanes. It is kept in our hangar and teases me everytime I pull the little Meridian out. On their last trip these guys flew for six hours, crusing at 300kts at FL350, and landed with 1000 pounds of fuel left. It is also huge, seating 11 people. I'm 6'2'' and can't see into the cockpit side windows!

Several things...

1) Nice calculator
2) I have GOT to get me one of those ceiling fans!
3) That synthetic vision looks sweet!
4) How do you feel about flying that far out from shore in a single engine? I realize it's a turbine and retracable gear, but still, do you normally do that? If so, do you guys keep survival equipment onboard? I've only done that a few times, and I've always found it sort of unsettling.

The airplane can glide three miles for every 1,000 feet, so we are actually always within giding distance of the shore on that airway. I think V139 is only 35 miles from land at it's farthest point. There are a few life jackets in the back.

Nice pictures! Is BGR a nice airport? I train in southern Maine and I need a 2.7 hr solo cross country and I was thinking of BGR.
 
Bangor was a nice airport with a below average FBO. They did give a ride over to the terminal and I got a good Lobster Roll in a resturant in the attached hotel.

Close. I was talking to Wash on 27.7, I had just switched off of Dover though.
