Possible Mid-Air over Hudson.

I can't wait till the media finds out it is uncontrolled down there. Heads may explode, don't get any on you.

...And next the Mayor will pull a Daley and want to ban small a/c traffic from around the area. No more VFR flights up and down the Hudson....
Or they bulldoze the Hudson in the middle of the night, "emergency action", and turn it into a park. I keed I keed.

Honestly though. Can someone drown Mayor Daley?

How do airplanes fly without talking to anyone??? How do they talk to eachother?? :banghead:

If they're such drama queens when it comes to aviation, they're probably drama queens on other issues they cover too.
I consider myself conservative.

And I frakking HATE Fox news. HATE.

Sucks that this happened. RIP to the victims.

CNN is reporting it was a flight from TEB to 26N (ocean city). If I was doing that flight I'd definitely take a corridor. Fastest way, least gas, works out perfectly for the climb.

Maybe questioning if you could stay in glide range of something to land on when you make the turn west but I'm nearly sure you could since I've done a similar flight a few times down past ACY. Ohh if I was only a pack rat and kept all my charts.

Stupid Fox News reporter woman (live):

"....The other aircraft, possibly a Piper PA-32, has had 10 accidents in the last 10 years. I'm not an expert, but that doesn't sound like a plane I'd feel safe flying in......"

:banghead:

I cant help but to image her asking an aviation expert "How come these airplanes don't have horns to warn each other. How many more have to die until they put them on?" :whatever:

Horns? Shouldn't they have some sort of traffic light? Saw them once on Tale Spin and I believe they would work!

I walked by his office yesterday, and gave it the finger. Felt good, lol. .

Good! He deserves that.

He is one of the few people that if I met him, I would refuse to shake his hand. Purely a symbolic gesture, of course, but I will not shake the hand of someone who orders such a cowardly act of destroying an airport in the middle of the night.

I generally don't speak bad of people, but he's an ass.

Fox News has pictures...wow.

Pictures like that just make your heart sink. My condolences go out to the passengers and crew of both aircraft and their families. Another sad reminder of the inevitable risks that are present whenever we take to the skies. RIP, Brothers.
