I didn't post announcing my leaving. I wanted to wait until I had the new gig locked up. Didn't happen, so here we are!

Yup! At AA a "speaker" has to be able to pass a conversational test, and carry on a lengthy conversation about many topics. It certainly is possible to learn a language to that level (of course!) but it would take some time, and the BEST way to learn to pass that kind of test is to really talk to people using the language, preferably native speakers of it.
