Serious answer: According to the wife, if you claim to speak the language, you had better be extremely fluent in it.
 
Can ya link the other post where you mentioned leaving? I searched a little to no avail and I need to catch up because I didn't know you'd left!

I didn't post announcing my leaving. I wanted to wait until I had the new gig locked up. Didn't happen, so here we are!

Yup! At AA a "speaker" has to be able to pass a conversational test, and carry on a lengthy conversation about many topics. It certainly is possible to learn a language to that level (of course!) but it would take some time, and the BEST way to learn to pass that kind of test is to really talk to people using the language, preferably native speakers of it.
