Definitely. Having never gone through this before I'm not sure how long they wait to post the "You didn't make it" message.

It was probably a good 4 weeks or so after people received their PEPC invite/facility before my ASAP page changed to the "You didn't make it" message for 3/4.
 
Awesome. Good to know. Does anyone else remember seeing that awesome chart a few days ago that someone made that showed the timelines for all the PUBNATs? I really want to see that again, but I can't find it. I think it was linked to Stuckmic.

Edit: Found it. It's post #144 on this thread. Very useful if you're wondering how long we'll be waiting for stuff.

Just remember that's a rough average and doesn't include all people selected for each PUBNAT. I'm PUBNAT2 and still don't have a class date!

That blows. My friend was in Pubnat 2(Possibly 3, he doesn't know for sure) and he's already half way through his Academy classes.

I blame it on the medical.. I've had a million hoops to jump through, but after Saturday, things should be ready to rock and roll.

man you mean you got straight up rick roll'd on that, what medical was holding you up? how do they do a check on your medical? did you mention something in your equip or they found something from your doctor?
 
actually with pubnat 3-4 we found out only a week or two after panels finished everyone starting posting message they received the letter via email and ppl starting calling aviation careers division. Aviation careers over phone actually told me last time I wasn't selected a HUGE disapointment. It was about 2-3 weeks after that when ASAP updated the you suck post under your application where you found the referral list.

We haven't really talked about everyones dream facility or where they want to go so where does everyone want to go?

I did chose florida only so one state with a preference of Miami becuase I have family at the ZMA center. This round I listed a ton of facilities in florida almost all and their county's, as for my second choice I selected TX and selected the countys at houston, corpis christy, and dallas. I guess well see what happens their has also been some debate of if visiting a facility makes a difference I visitied 4 centers in both FL and TX so if I dont get select I'd imagine a tour is pointless. I scored 85.1 barely well qualified.

p.s. I have been trolling these boards for info but keepin quite but I just got too anxious, if I don't get selected I think I might follow others here to the military.

The only positive thing about that is most people are trying to flee Michigan. Maybe there will be a lack of interested candidates for that state making it slightly easier to get picked up there.
 
My dream spot is Denver Center. Touring there last week only made me want it more. Although from the inside, I imagine most centers are quite similar. It's the outside that makes Denver nicer ;)

I picked Colorado and Washington (all facilities). My wife can easily get a job in either of those two states, and both have major airports and centers, so I figure there are more jobs there than in say, Nebraska. Plus...it's Nebraska, amirite?

No, nothing like that. My history is squeaky clean. Had an ear infection before PEPC and failed hearing test. Got that taken care of when I returned from PEPC. Got a call from MED division again saying that vision in right eye was 20/25 and they missed that the first time when reviewing that, so I have to get a new eye exam.

Not to mention the 3 EKGs I had to take at the PEPC because they broke the machine, and the 3 BP tests because of faulty equipment and nerves. I've had one hell of an experience dealing with the FAA so far. Day 1 at my facility, you ask? I'm joining NATCA

I put down AK and HI for my prefs. Guess which one of those I'm really crossing my fingers for.
 
I came soooo close to picking guam, but somebody told me if I picked it and got it I'd never be able to get off that little island. It would be fun for a while, but i definitely can't spend the rest of my life on guam.

They're going to give you this whole thing about how they "know" you're on the message boards and to ask any questions, blah blah...

Nobody at my PEPC had any questions at that point in time, but they sure as hell lit up the boards when they got back to their hotel.

Ask questions. Get specifics, that way you're not left in the dark.

My dream facility is the one I got selected for: FSM (up/down)
 
I guess I'll answer my own question my dream facility would be ZMA Miami center, I really want a center in FL or TX. I would gladly take a tracon as well I just really want to get selected in FL or TX and I'm gonna be so pumped if it happens.
