Former astronaut: Man not alone in universe

In the Bible, God doesn't say he created aliens. Adam and Eve were created in 7 days. I don't recall any reference to "alien civilizations."

There are those that say that we weren't to have had the technology of fiber optics for a good some time now, at the rate our technology was going.......

...unless we got it from somewhere.....

There are also those that say Dough is spewing mind control chemicals when he flies overhead. :buck:

This brought another good question during my sci-fi conversation the other night. We know who invented the electric light bulb and telephone. Who the hell invented one of the most important technologies of our time which is fiber optics? Im just sayin.

In my mind, this thread is what it was like to tell people in the 1400s that flying was possible.

The inescapable truth is, we just don't know.

The vast numbers of other entire galaxies existence are so great, I'd be hard pressed to think ours is the single planet that has combined all the resources necessary to form life.
I do agree that we've gotten our act together with new innovations over the last 100 years-excluding world peace/hunger/human rights.
Science is moving ahead, knowledge is increasing, and that's a good thing because we'll be needing some new real estate within the next 100 years after trashing this planet so thoroughly.

God didn't write the Bible. Adam was created separate from Eve. The Bible is full of reference to aliens. Some believe that Aliens play a role much like Rama did in the popular series by Arther C. Clarke.

God never says we are the one and only. Because no reference is made in OUR Bible re: other worlds doesn't mean there aren't any.
You are not diminishing your faith in God by believing the existence of other worldy life. I feel very strongly about the existence of both. (if you've had any experience with hospice then you KNOW God exists) The evidence of alien visitation here on earth is overwhelming.

A very interesting line-up.

Wonder if you'll know who that link is meant for....?

Regarding that video...there is a difference between people who look at something they don't understand and posit a supernatural theory, versus the the people who actually analyze what they are seeing and try to come up with different theories.

With the former group, I don't agree. The second group, however, trumps a third group claiming they knew the answer from the beginning, solely using the knowledge they already have. :)

Actually, I forgot the sarcasm tag. I don't believe in god.

Thank you SO much for that link, as it led me to THIS series!!! :rawk:

Actually, you really need to thank my good friend TGrayson, who posted that link on his facebook not long ago. I immediately shared it with my son (website linked below), who equally loved it. TGrayson loves debating with creationists. That would give me a headache, but then, I come from a long line of counter-culture people, you know, artists, writers, commie's, etc., so I haven't had as much practice as he has. ;)

Saw this on a different vehicle:
