UPS cuts feeder flights

GLH-GWO-MEM-GLH (M-Th)
GLH-LIT-SHV-GLH (Sat)

I was sort of "grandfathered" in on the hotel thing anyhow...

Hmm, was that a DHL run? I know we have one goin into MEM now, but im pretty sure its just one leg.

As far as sweet runs go, im gonna have to talk USMCmech into goin to the regionals so i can take over his out -and- back in the morning, haha.

Nope, UPS.

They might have opted to cut out GWO. Don't know why, it wasn't a bad deal... most of the time you were on the ground 15 minutes.

When I was flying it, the FSS in GWO was still in operation, so it was super easy to check weather, pick up clearances, it was nice to know the people on the "inside"...

So I am guessing that is why Air Cargo Carriers furloughed.

ACC lost one UPS run and chose to furlough that crew. At the same time they stopped doing charter work and kept those crews around. I don't work there but i hear a lot of complaints about the way the pilots are treated.

Don't know but volume is down all over the place on all three sides.

Just a FYI, and I don't know how it will affect ya'll downline, but we are bulking out or grossing out a good deal of our flights. In fact, there is freight being left.

Where it comes from or where it goes, I don't know. We did have a pallet with a mix of Eukanueba dog food and some flammable liquid (CAO) that was on to HKG....

That's some expensive dog chow....or a good job by the parts guy ordering 6 drums of stuff, paying for the pallet and getting a ton of dog chow for his mutt...

Sounds like Ameriflight

We don't have it that good.

From the guy with 2 types in as many months, haha.
I agree we dont have it that good, they have it far worse, I see about 8 crews every night and get to hear it all. Seniority means nothing, runs are assigned and not bid, less vacation. Then the one that tops it all, no extra pay no matter how much extra work you do.
They do have a lot of jumpseat agreements though, I could use more of that.

wow i had no idea, that sucks. Are you guys at least still getting that good schedule in base from a while back or is that gone too. I know the bottom Seattle 1900 driver is in the same position as you and getting bumped down.
Good luck with it and let me know what happens

I did manage to get one weekend off, sigh. You gonna be up there or are you still working for Jimmy? I'm doing 703 and then I start my vacation when i get to dallas, great. I asked for a week off and in typical CVG fashion I'm working the weekend before and possibly the weekend after. Did you find a nice place to live yet?

Amflight pilots have it really good when compared to other freight operators.

As far as other guys that fly airplanes for a living, I'm surprised there hasn't been a serious union drive with how Amflight pilots are treated, especially these days.
