my week of aerobatics

Was your instructors name Patrick? I think I know the airplane/Instructor. He used to work where I am now. Super cool guy.
 
Nice pics and good times! Did you get to fly a Pitts too? You'll be screwed up for life after that. The Extra (200L in my case) was fun, but a Pitts...:drool:

Are you planning to compete, or was this just skill and airmanship training?

The best flying I have done to date was giving aerobatic training to chinese airline students in the valley. I don't think anything will top that. Glad I got out when I did though, that eventually would have gotten me in big trouble:D

Glad you like the pics & such, i didnt get to fly the pitts, but someday for sure! This all started to enhance my airmanship, but like you said, i've felt the pull to the dark side, and its all over for me now...haha :) I would really like to continue with it and perhaps compete someday. Now that I have done aerobatics, there is no way i can't continue with it!

Wow, looks like a lot of fun and the loop vid was really cool!

I've always wanted to do this as well...contemplated going to Harvey & Rihn on the SE side of Houston.
 
Great video! Gotta love flying stick and rudder with a big open canopy :rawk: Like you say, it's about the coolest thing you can do in an airplane, and IMHO makes you better in all regimes of flight. Very jealous, I'd love to bag some time in an Extra

Great place to go do it if I might add. We used to drop into La Porte on occasion when doing out and in's when I flew out of Corpus. Debbie is a really cool lady, and definitely knows her s***.

Yeah, I've only heard good things about them. I really want to get over there and do their basic aerobatic course, but funds have to go towards other flying right now :(

Definitely after I have all my instructor ratings knocked out though.
