One way or the other, most of the furloughs we've seen would not have occurred if that rule hadn't have been forced through in such an abrupt manner.
YGBSM! Age 65 went into effect 12/07. There were NO furloughs until fuel spiked and the economy crashed.
The regionals were hiring like crazy last spring AFTER Age 65 went into effect.
How do you reconcile those FACTS?
Come on, man. Get a grip. One thing has NOTHING to do with the other. Alaska has 20 over 60 pilots, yet we have 60 pilots on the street. I guarantee you that our guys would have been furloughed regardless.
