I see a 5, but I looked at that a few months ago and saw a 2 and then a 5 when I looked at it a second time. I think the colors on your computer monitor affect this one a lot.

When I went for my annual eye exam I asked my doc, since I saw the 2 and the 5. He had me do the whole book of them and I had no problems. So it was a monitor display thing.

Also, the first few plates in the book I looked at were diagnostic, he said. So I guess you don't look past the beginning if you can see those OK. If there's a problem, then you look at trickier plates. I'm not sure if the 2/5 one above it diagnostic or a more specific one. My guess is that it's specific.

Step ahead of y'all, unrestricted first class medical holder... but the fact that they only check up to 20/20 kinda upsets me.

You have to redo it at the PEPC regardless. I have a first class medical and I bet half the people on here do also, since many of us fly.

And why does it upset you that they require the medical definition of perfect vision? Do you want them to require a higher than normal oxygen blood saturation, better sense of smell, and double jointedness as well? :laff:

I have never posted before but I thought I would let everyone know I got an email that stated:

"You have been identified for an interview for an enroute air traffic
controller position in Longmont, CO"

Hopefully everyone else starts to see emails soon!

Well here it is. Let the good times roll! Email looks different for enroute than terminal.

"You have been identified for an interview for an enroute air traffic controller position in Fremont, CA."

So Oakland Center for me! I'm scared now because it's a level 12 enroute facility and I feel like a moron for picking it. Hope I don't wash out. But it's within 30 minutes drive from where I am and it pays well.
