OK so I got it..... but what the hell does this mean...

Congratulations! You have been chosen for further consideration for an Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) position at the (FAI) Fairbanks International Air Traffic Control Tower in Fairbanks,Alabama.

Ok so two problems:

1: It says Fairbanks, Alabama
2: Assuming it is indeed FAI Alaska...I didn't even choose AK in my geo prefs!

Hmmm, there is NO Fairbanks, Alabama that I know of. I live in NWF and am fairly familiary with Alabama. FAI is the code for Fairbanks, Alaska International Airport. The bright side? If you want to see it this way is that at least you got an email. Maybe getting nothing was better than this? :whatever:

If it is indeed Alaska, that happened with pubnat 1. One guy got AK, some other guy got Guam, and they didn't select those either. Pretty sure the Guam guy accepted it anyway.

I thought I read somewhere on here that they will fill Friday PEPC only after Wed./Thurs was filled. So does this mean the PEPC in Chicago is almost full already??

If it was like the KC PEPC, Mon-Wed is for terminal, Thurs-Fri Enroute.

I just picked my 1st choice Friday and 2nd choice Thursday. I said for my job and travelling, I strongly prefer Friday. Then I got the confirmation email today.

"Based on your response, we have reserved a place for you to attend the ATCS Pre-Employment Processing Center (PEPC) in Chicago, IL on Friday, March 27. The PEPC will include your interview and, if you are tentatively selected, you will receive a Tentative Offer Letter providing specific information on your facility assignment, salary, etc. In addition, a security screening, medical evaluation, psychological evaluation, and drug testing will be completed.

All of these activities will take place during the day you selected Friday, March 27 2009. Your start time will be provided in your confirmation email. Please be prepared for an all-day event. You will need to make arrangements in advance should you require overnight lodging. All travel costs incurred will be at your expense."

It goes on to say I will get all the paperwork and details the next week. Is it almost full? It would be a reasonable deduction based on Friday being supposedly their overflow day, but I doubt it is full this early.

84.8 here. Didn't get picked for Pubnat 2. Trying my chances for 3&4. Funny thing is when the geo preference email came for 3&4 I just randomly picked states out of frustration and don't remember what they were!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

What makes you think Friday is an "overflow" day? They usually fill both days equally, it's just a matter of preference.

LOL, well good luck getting picked up this time around. I got a 84.5, but I hope my time in the Army gives me that extra push I need to get hired.
 
did everyone that got an email yesterday get the pepc confirm today already? I responded right away yesterday but didnt recieve anything today...

lol west coast love baby, we need some east coast lovin for terminal come one come on... when my blackberry has that little red light flashing I go nuts, it's usually something stupid tho and not an email from FAA. I am going to run around like a mad man yelling if I get sellecting :panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic:. Come on u dumb blackberry give me the email of goodness, come on blackberry u better start flashing that red light in the next two hours or im gonna cry.

Don't sweat it. One of the FAA employees who you probably received the email from was off yesterday and is off today. However, their peers are going through those replied and confirming today and early next week. You will get your email soon.

Also, to everyone who is going nuts because you haven't received an email. Remember, over 800 people were selected (700+ for terminal). Only about 20 people on both PUBNAT3 and PUBNAT4 threads have confirmed a PEPC invite. There are plenty of of emails still coming. :)
