Lol. Its a science to ask the question in statement form and then add the True or False.
 
Just a quick update - Called OKC today and asked a few questions about what happens next.

-PubHi, as far as they're concerned will be timed the same as any other pubnat so the usual 2 day to 6 month window is in effect for the next step (referral list)

-PubHi PEPC/interview will be S.O.P. with the current scheme of pubnats as well.. so we don't have to worry about shacking up in hawaii again for an interview... so if you run out of poy in the meantime, you'll have to wait longer to restock. Sorry! :(

thanks! few things in this world can make this former marine cry.. that score was one of them... i was sniveling like a little girl... and to just add one more humilitating note to it.. my mom cried too. :rolleyes:

I would assume so

but then again.. we are dealin with a politically correct beaurocracy - and if there's one thing in this world I know about PC it's that it all relies on "The memo"

the memo can change at any time... so start stocking up and getting ready to move NOW.. because as soon as the memo changes (if it does, of course).. we're going to want to be high speed, low drag through PEPC and into OKC.

ooh that's a good one..

I would say... just speculating (while i do recommend calling OKC at405-954-4657 for BEST info) that, considering how you're living out there already they'll probably give you the option of PEPC on the mainland or just doing a direct interview at HNL or wherever they want you to go.

the only potential downside is that direct interview can take longer to process than PEPC.. which is kinda like the whole "shabang" and "whammo" to get through the federal meatgrinder.

Things are always changing in this process so I can only speak about MY personal experience regarding the interview. I was not given the opportunity to attend a PEPC but I would have loved to have gone that route! Most, if not all, the applicants who live in Hawaii have done a local interview. Don't quote me on that one though. If you're presented with the chance to attend a PEPC you should definitely consider it. A PEPC in Hawaii would be a first! :DLOL:D. But that's probably highly unlikely to happen.:(

I have to say that one of the good things that I liked about doing a local interview was that I got to meet the managers and other future co-workers. Everyone there at the facility was welcoming, friendly and funny! You really get a feel for what it will be like to work there when you do the local interview. Oh yeah, and of course the tour of the facility is always a PLUS!!! :rawk:
 
Has anyone recently received a second at-sat auth recently..

I just got one via email that had no associated pubnat listed in the entire email..

No sir. Not another email. Hell I would love to hear from the FAA tho. Anything really. A Geo Pref email, something from the PUBHI, anything really.

Yeah I got a second test auth for Lisle, IL but I don't know if its a result of Pubnat 5 or 6.

And I had another question for you guys- Since this announcement (PUBHI) is specifically throughout Hawaii, what are our next steps since I can assume that they won't send out a geographical preference email for this specific announcement. I've applied to PUBAK, PUBNAT5 and 6 as well, so will only certain people get a geo. pref email and if so will it have to be after PUBNAT 5 finishes testing?
