anyone looking to swap with miami, jacksonville, or atlanta for kansas city? I'm originally from south florida and would like to get somewhat close to my family. I am in OKC training now so if you would like to swap please let me know, I am desperate to get back down there.

You're still at OKC. Do yourself, trainers and facrep a favor and quit now.

If you want to swap you should definitely do it while your at the academy. Once you get to your facility and they spend the time and money training you expect to stay at least 2-3 years after you certify. Then again maybe you'll get lucky and they will release you early. It always a case by case basis.

Finish the Academy, and just make the best of your time at ZKC. Your story is not as unusual as it seems, many of the trainees I talked to yesterday at Memphis are in the same boat I'm in; we requested to be somewhere else. However, we all have the same attitude about it, we're going to work our butts off and make CPC, then evaluate to see if we want to transfer or not after that.

We have a great cafeteria.

At least you have a cafeteria. Ours caught on fire and instead of rebuilding it, they just installed a bunch of vending machines and microwaves instead. I'm just considering myself lucky that at this stage of training that I can leave the building for lunch.
