When I'd work there, I'd just read what I wanted and ignore the rest.
The boss's perspective on how he runs the show, whether I agree or not is not important, was always good insight. I'd skip the rest.
Let me summarize 1999-2007 BB updates (paraphrased to my liking of course, but please get ahold of them and see it's all about right):
"Time for my weekly update. I really should write them weekly, but I've been busy. I realize we've added 1 airplane a week and hired a bunch. We've gone from underdog that might go out of business to the fastest growing, and probably the most profitable airline in the world. However, with all the RFPs out there, oil price volatility, codeshares, shareholder value, stock market, terrorism, regulations and whatnot, things are all doom and gloom up here, inspite of analysis by stock pros and historical prospective to the contrary"
