Your favorite type of flying?

I always enjoy talking to people about their goals in flying, whether they are 55 years old and doing it for fun now, or 25 and going for a career. What type of flying gives (or would give) you the most satisfaction. Flying old warbirds, flying in airshows, firebombing, cropdusting in stearmen, things of the sort.... I know sounds cheesey, but none of us fly just so we can talk here and see how broke we are going to be in the future. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Personally I think flying cargo and supplies in the backwoods of Canada or Alaska would be a blast. No autopilot, no glass cockpit, no traffic to look out for....

The kind of flying that pays the bills!

BUT, in my perfect world, I'd be an F-15 Airshow Demonstration Pilot...

Racing Warbirds /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif The new guy at the airport races at Reno so it may be a dream come true if he ever get's his Yak 9 here. I also love doing aerobatics and formation flying. Now if only I could find a way to make them pay the bills I'd be set. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Instrument flying in busy airspace...followed very closely by instrument flying in busy airspace at night.

LOVE IT!!!!

In the back of the plane drinkin a beer on my way to see the LSU Tigers play....

GEAUX TIGERS...................................

My favorite flying today is daytime cross-country flying . . . point-to-point destination flying and enjoying the landscape from above.

I'm going to try aerobatics one of these days. If I dont get sick that would be my favorite. Actually as dangerous and stupid as this would be. I would love to fly about 15 -20 feet of the ground doging wires, poles, towers, or zig zag through downtown chicago or something.

Doing this same thing through clouds would be fun too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

ha ha.

I ment staying out of the clouds just zig zaging between them. Like the videos they always show on the weather channel when they are cutting to something else.
