Your biggest Pet Peeves

when people say 'to' and 'for' on the radio. ('climbing to two thousand' or 'two thousand for four thousand' should be 'two thousand climbing four thousand')

when people see my ID and say, 'oh you're from Idaho? YOU DA HO? HHAAHAHA'

When the roommates drink all the moose drool!, the use of like and umm, Skywest making me go around all the time, lastly professors who talk about professional [SIZE=-1]attire all the time, but can't dress professional if their life depended on it.

Lack of courtesy to others.

Smaller ones:
Having to select English for a phone call or ATM.

People who pull along side of you with their turn signal on expecting you to let them over even though you can't see the signal because it is behind you.:banghead: Works better when you are far enough ahead for me to see it. And don't just start moving over because you think I see it.

1. People who stand on the "walk" side of the moving walkway

2. Drivers who don't accelerate to traffic speed before merging onto heavy freeway traffic

3. Drivers who stop at the end of the freeway on-ramp

4. People who think that poverty is a choice

5. People who walk around with their Bluetooth headset on when not in use. What are you a Borg???

6. People who, upon acheiving their own career success, try to pull up the ladder. (Pay it forward, people!!)

7. Republicans.

8. Democrats.

9. Star Trek: Enterprise

10. Instant accessibility

11. My job.

Screen touchers.........I hate it when people leave their smudged fingerprints on FMS and EFIS screens. I have yet to see a touch screen EFIS system - touch the freakin' buttons not the screen!

I remember stopping at a rest stop and was standing next to a man looking at a big map of the state we were in. He was talking and I asumed he was talking to me. He indicated he was tired of driving and that he was about done for the night. I indicated to him that I too was tired and that it sounded like a good idea. As he turned to hear what I was saying to him, I realized he had a bluetooth in his ear and was talking to someone else. He looked at me like "who the hello are you talking to dumba$$?"

I was so embarassed. Dammnn bluetooths anyway.

That happens to me quite frequently. Usually the headset is visible but when women use it their hair tends to cover it completely so that you have no clue who they are talking to.

All my pet peeves are to do with driving.
Here's my top 20, in no particular order...

1. Cloverleaf junctions
2. People that ride their brakes downhill, instead of using gears/engine braking
3. Ford F350s with just the driver on board and an empty flatbed.
4. Actually all Fords
5. Actually all pick-up trucks that aren't used for commercial business
6. Drivers that don't keep their distance - that's more important than sticking to the speed limit
7. Not using indicators
8. Tailgating
9. Lanes that just end for no apparent reason
10. Drivers that "weave" to save 2 seconds
11. People that think "right turn on red" is their right, not a privilege.
12. Four way stops
13. Stop signs where a yield sign would do
14. Lack of roundabouts
15. Poor road signage
16. Lack of "cats eyes" (the snow plows would tear them up, is the excuse I've heard)
17. Flashing headlights not understood by other drivers to mean "After you" or "Thanks".
18. People that don't stop for pedestrians at crossings
19. People that don't "let you out" when it would be prudent to do so. ("I have right of way so I'll make that really tight turn in front of you instead of just letting you go to make it easier for both of us")
20. OTHER DRIVERS

I actually like the fact you can pass on the right though. In the UK, you HAVE to pass on the right otherwise it's illegal (passing on the left is called "undertaking")

"June Gloom" which seems to have arrived about six weeks early. What good is a convertible if it's too cold to have the top down?

A work related pet peeve of mine is when someone will call after hours and leave a message like, "Hi Pam, this is John. I spoke with you a couple of weeks ago about my application. Please call me back." No last name, no number, no nothing to distinguish him from the 6,000 other Johns in our system. I call LOTS of people everyday, and then pass the file on, I don't remember you John!!!! So now my only option is to wait for John to call back, and most likely, when he does, he is going to be pissed that I never called him back!
