Your best credit:block ratio month...

There's got to be a Colgan guy on here that's gone a year without working while collecting guarantee.

Wow 20 days off bottom 1/3 in base that is extremely impressive. Wish it was always like that. We are normally 14-15 off. If I could get 19-20 days off a month it would make it more palatable that I'm still at a commuter.

Well, my BEST month was 0 hours block, 78 hours credit. But my average for this year so far has been 11.67 hrs block for 79 hours credit per month, or 6.77 hours of pay for every hour of flying. I've flown a grand total of 70 hours for the year, and I've barely had any union leave. Just bidding reserve, call last.

What are you looking more forward to...737 school or wearing the American Flag tie?

You're working 12 hours a month and will give that up? Seems like a pretty easy gig to me for guaranteed health insurance alone.

Nah, you don't get it. When my number comes up and I'm forced to transition, the gravy train comes to an abrupt end. Then it would be a commute to Vegas, Phoenix, or Oakland, and 80 hours of flying, spending half the month away from home.

Pretty common in the ACMI world to have credit far exceed block. I think my best was at the last gig, something like 100 hours (includes several days off worked) and ~40-50 hours block.

Actually, credited ~60 this last month with 22 hours block, 18 days at home here at Golden Giant Connection. Not bad.
