You Gulfstream guys better buy a coat (EAS)

Most of the Wyoming flights come from Montana and go to Denver. Does this mean Great Lakes will be overnighting in SHR and GCC now?

Agreed, for the most part. In general I'm against EAS however, it serves a purpose to "real" rural communities. Take Haver, MT for example. They are over 4hrs. by road (two lane hwy) from BIL which is by definition a small airport. It makes sense to me to provide a service to that community. With that said it does not make sense to make 3 trips a day into Haver... like they do to say, Glasgow.

Wolf Point, Glasgow, and Sydney are close enough to ISN to justify terminating the service in my opinion. Same for Miles City-BIL and Pendleton-PSC. There needs to be a revision when you look at it. Especially when you consider the less than 50% loads they currently have. Lewistown (pronounced Lewis Town) MT is an example with .6% seats sold. There is something wrong with that. IIRC the subsidy is $9,015,000 according to the Jan 2010 spreadsheet I have.

For some people who have not been out west (or to Alaska) it might be hard to envision. Some of these places are a days drive or more from a town that has *some* service. They need the service. Slash the rest of it for all I care. What I'm saying is that it has it's place. But in it's current form, it needs a lot of work.

All you need to do is look around in Alaska (even in the Anchorage area) for about five minutes and realize that roads aren't always workable..."O look, mountains!"

this sounds like a golden opportunity, any 5 other guys feel like splitting a 3 bedroom and going in on a job with me? I've got an extra 20 grand to throw away, along with my career.

I think Gulfstream did away with the right seat program. I know, I know, I was devastated, and I'm still paying off the loan I took out for it.:(

How much to buy an upgrade? I'm very interested. May the force be with you.

The feds made me cut my upgrade program. As soon as you hit 1500 hours, buy your own type, and pay for your own recurrent, wash my car, and do my laundry you could upgrade to the left seat of a 99 seat jet. You dig?

My new program of the captain flying under the hood, the FO being a student pilot, and the jumpseater giving duel given will recoup the losses though. Safety you ask? Who cares about safety, when all that matters is the bottom line...

:sarcasm: however unfortunately close to the truth this maybe
