Keeping in line with this thread , and following Doug's advice, I thought I'd start a thread for CFI's to post quotes of their students!!
"Why are we practicing so many simulated engine failures if the mechanics are good? You told me these planes were safe - I'm starting to wonder . . ."
BNA Approach: "N5286L, Descend and maintain 3000"
Student: "N5286L is descending to 3000 and maintaining at 4000."
This was today!!!!
BNA Deparature: "N5286L, climb and maintain 8000, resume own navigation, on course"
Student: "OK, N5286L, on course. Ummm....what did we file again?"
BNA Departure: "N5286L, that was direct Memphis"
"Lloyd, I feel like I'm spinning my wheels - all we're doing is flying around, flying under this silly hood. When can we start the approaches?"
"Ummm...is that safe?"
"What airport?"
"What airplane?"
