You Are Now Free To Move About (a little later at Southwest)

Never underestimate my passive aggressiveness!

But now that I buy tickets to fly anywhere, I willingly and gladly spend my dollars everywhere but AA when I can. I dread when I'm forced to deadhead on them. Since their tickets are crazy cheap these days, it makes it very hard to deviate.

Why the bad blood? You went there and then moved to somewhere you thought would be better…. Did it suck that bad while you were there?

I cannot imagine one of our CAs pulling out a cam, but if I'm ever in that seat and someone pulled one out, I would immediately ruin it with a butthole shot. What is wrong with people? But in all honesty, nobody is trying to make an influencer channel on our property. There is like one 12 year old in Juneau who would subscribe, and he is already on the seniority list, stressing about how the SLI is going to tank his relative seniority

Have you had anyone try and place a cam on the dash just openly, thinking it’s no big thing?
I have watched mainline planes at every major and legacy airline with camera phones or gopros up on the dash. Heavies too. I've shot a lot of 01R arrivals into SFO where you clearly see the PNF holding up a phone to their face filming it LOL. But I don't upload those because I don't have a hall monitor badge.

An E175 pilot once gave me his tail number after a 01R landings day and I noticed that I got a great shot of him filming out of the cockpit, I sent him a close crop of the cockpit and said "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" and he actually sent me one of the pics he was taking around that moment LOL.

To be fair, it's pretty badass.

This is an amazing shot.
Thanks man. I had a crappy $70 Tamron lens back then so a lot of distant shots I took in that period came out super soft. That was early 2014 I think, long ago. Didn't happen again for like 6 years, but next time around I had a better lens lol. 01L arrivals are rare, but you'll see a few if it lasts a couple hours, tho very rarely is it a plane larger than an A320. I just went back and edited another shot from that day in 2014 as I saw a Delta 757 do it, which is the largest plane I've seen on 1L personally, and they kept it tight along US101 too. So of course, me on a hill + 50kt gusts + no image stabilization and a lens that I got new in box for under $100 = not getting a single clear shot of that. Here is the best one I got, focused on freggin Oakland across the bay (but at least focused on something...). What every pilot wants to hear after a 6.5 hour JFK transcon and some laps over Pt Reyes as they check in with tower on an uncharted visual in the gusty hills; "Change to runway 01L cleared to land, caution the A380 departing runway 01R, winds whatever gusting to 53 peak gust 62". I recalled these pilots asked if the low altitude alerts are unavoidable (a ton of people get them), tower said they are if you go wide over the hills (most planes turned base behind my location). They came swinging along highway 101, and got no low altitude alerts. :)

It was the windiest day in 60 years or something like that.

It wasn't unusual to get low altitude alerts landing to the south on a visual into Reno. You can disregard if you have terrain in sight. Those are some great photo's. Thanks for sharing.

They should just do like AA and just have their FAs refuse to do service on most flights, stating the reasons as short flight time and bumpiness (even though that's not the case on most flights I've been on).

At least the FAs are smirking and bragging about it when they announce it.
Not just AA. Had a particular terrible experience on a triangle on the tail carrier. Wife and I were in first out of LAx on 4+ hour flight . I would have gotten a drink faster if I was sitting in coach, no pre departure service, boarded on time and even departed 5 mins early. 1.5 hours until we were asked what drink we would like, never asked if we wanted another beverage the next 2.5 hours No survey sent. Guy in the row behind us was pissed and brought it up to the FA, the FA acted confused as to the guys complaint and couldn’t have cared less, went back to playing in his phone. In the galley. Not sure I’ll pay for that experience again.

Domestic First seems to have become Coach Plus.

There is also no difference between carriers. None. Frequent travelers now book for loyalty points, ease of departure, non stop, and cost. Usually in that order.

Seem to be so. I’ve looked while booking online the different amenities of the different booking classes, and insofar as beverage service, it was all the same for all the classes.

One I’ve never really understood, first class on an RJ.

Hey now, the only first class seat I've ever had was as a non-rev on a QX RJ. :) (I'll add that the QX CSAs in EUG are really extraordinary, and have been for as long as I can remember)

I used to like America West first class as a nonrev. The meals were fairly decent and there were a few FAs who would warm up the nuts they served in F and that made them exponentially better for some reason.
