Going to try to say this without being a get off my lawn type but when did this fad of carrying a massive yeti cooler designed for a 24 pack become a thing? I get carrying healthier food with you on the road but seeing these massive cubes with the yeti logo plastered on them hanging off the back of a roller board in the terminal seems a little odd to me. Really gaining in popularity it seems. They make crew coolers that are much more subtle lol.

There are a handful of practical reasons why the Yeti + smaller flight bag is the ideal setup. It carries way more food than the Aerocoast, you can split the weight up; no need to carry it when you’re doing a day turn, etc. I recently upgraded to the Strong Bags Summit and sort of wish I had gone Yeti + Brightline.

In all seriousness, I don't have a good opinion of zipper durability on Yei coolers, especially not for full time travel abuse. They're great at holding temperature but not if the zipper is going to rip off at a Hilton Garden Inn somewhere in the middle of a trip.

I'm not a fan of the ostentatious cooler but if it does the job better, I'm all for it.
I own - or have owned - cooler options from Strong Bags (two diferent ones), Aerocoast, LuggageWorks and Travel Pro. I also have a Brightline but I'm retiring that from service.
All of them have their pros and cons, but with the exception of the SB Summit, none of them really insulate as well as they could. The SB Summit is pretty good for cooling, but that's because it ends up double-insulated and its capacity isn't as good as the others.
I'm one of those knuckleheads who tries (the operative word is tries) to pack 4 meals a day into a cooler. I put a lot of work and care into it and while I've accepted the constant hassle of replenishing ice bags, a little more capacity with better insulation would be really, really nice.
So while I agree that the Yetis don't necessarily look the part, if they work well, I'd be willing to give one a go.
EDIT - Jesus Christ those things are expensive. I'd be willing to give one a go if someone else paid for it.
