Today I just handed over a check for my monthly flying club dues (not associated with UND) to the secretary of the flying club and he said "you betcha" 3 times in the two conversations I had with him, twice on the cell phone, then when I showed up to hand him over the check. I had to really try to hold my laughter :D.

I am really enjoying it! I'm staying pretty busy with three 102's and a 112 student and taking MEI. Have my first flights with students tomorrow, should be a blast.

You're taking multi this semester aren't you? How's that treating you?

The other day I was trying to take a nap and with the weather being as it has been I had my window open. Two people were outside my window having a conversation and one lady kept saying "ooohhhh fer funny!" about every 30 seconds. Usually noise doesn't bother me when I'm trying to sleep, but this was driving me up the freakin wall....just thought I'd share.

I'm assuming this flying club is out here and not at home? Care to share the details? Since I wasn't hired and I dont think 480 is going to keep me proficient (since it doesn't start till october and its only 13 or so lessons) I'm looking for somewhere to do some flying till I leave in December.

Going great so far...did the first sim today! Second sim tomorrow and flight on Wednesday. Can't wait

Yeah, the dorms are pretty poopy on the weekends. Once you meet a few people it gets better. Try to meet someone with a car too. Getting the hell off campus occasionally helps a lot. :)
