Xjet Mins

Rumor is there are none, I'm sure that's a little far fetched but someone on flightinfo mentioned getting called @ 50 hours multi, not sure about TT.

600 new hires in 2005. I'm jealous!

Maybe if you're an internal transfer. There was one fellow in my newhire class with about 500 hours, not sure how much multi. He worked as a ramper for xjet before becoming an FO.

I start IOE tomorrow (IAH-DAL-IAH-VPS-IAH-JAN-IAH) in an EMB-135. I had 150 multi when I got the interview. 3 months ago.

I believe they might of been lowered again from the 600/100. He didn't specify if he was internal or not. Getting a call @ 50 hours multi and not internal is pretty darn low...

....lowered from 600/100.....
....increased to 1200TT.......
....lowered to 50 ME.............

Rumots, all!

I jsut got off the phone with the recruiting department and they WILL NOT give you the min req's over the phone. The info is not on their website either. When I specifically asked for the minimums req's I was tild she could not give me that information and it would be duscussed further along in the interview process. I wonder why they would do this. I would think it would save them more time if the mins' were published or the info was more readily available. Anyhow, I still have a ways to go. Just curious....

the on-line application as of today still asks for 600tt, 100me, and 20 actual....so I don't think the mins have changed. I don't know where the 1200tt # came from....some dumbass talking out of their ass again probably.

They are just mins to apply, they may have a min to call you at some value higher. They look for certian things, american eagle wants more then 20 actual but do not say it in there mins.

All honesty, there are no mins. I asked the director of flight ops about this during orientation, actually. That way whenever they need to change it (either up or down) they don't have to send out a memo/change a website/update jobs postings. Now, there ARE mins for internal transfers (such as the guy in Alch's class and hopefully me), and they are low. You do need 100 ME for the internal interview, though.

so should you just apply when you have 100 ME

Well, 100 ME and a commercial ME rating. Realistcally, some guys have been getting calls with that and 500 TT.

Word is that they've stopped calling for interviews for a while, they've got classes scheduled through Feb....they'll start back up though from what I hear.

The people who are getting calls at 500/100 have worked as interns or are working for the company now. I would guess that they can not go below 500/100 due to insurrance reasons.

Well I should hope not.

I thought it was 550 and 100 for UND alumnai, grads only? according to the UND website job postings.

UND grads overrated. But good school. 500TT is too little for a RJ seat.

Someone should mention that to the san juaners with 300 hours bombing around in our CRJs...

Merry Christmas from Cleveland Ohio, where the braking action is better sideways than straight ahead and the local temperature is 6 degrees.
